Fenfire is a free action RPG in the spirit of Diablo 2 that runs in your browser — no install, no download. This is its Codex: Strength, dexterity, intelligence, resistances, armor, block and evasion explained for Fenfire, a free Diablo 2-inspired browser ARPG.
Each level grants 1 attribute point to spend across three attributes, and a handful of quests grant a few more. Every point is permanent — respecs are possible but require a specific scrolls.
Levelling also grants 1 skill point per level, and the skill tree opens a new tier at levels 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20. Talents are the exception: they arrive only at levels 10, 20 and 30 — see the Talents tab.
Seven damage types can be resisted — fire, cold, lightning, magic, poison, acid and physical — plus a separate projectile resistance. Effective resistance is capped at 80%.
The cap is the point: resistance is a budget, not a stat to stack. An affix reading all resistance pushes every school at once; elemental resistance covers fire, cold and lightning only.
Only uniques can raise the cap itself, one type at a time — +5% maximum fire resistance — and never past 95%. Resistance above your cap is not wasted: it is the buffer that keeps you capped when a curse or an attacker's penetration takes some away.
Monsters resist too, and some are immune to a type: an immune monster takes nothing from it, whatever your penetration. Their hover line tells you — Resists fire, Immune to cold.
Leech restores a share of your maximum life or mana per second of attacking — 0.5% life leech heals 0.5% of your life for every second your hits keep landing. Attack speed does not change it: a faster weapon lands more hits, each healing less.
Only melee and ranged attacks leech — spells never do. A hit that is fully blocked, resisted or absorbed leeches nothing, and undead and mineral monsters cannot be leeched at all.
Hitting several enemies with one swing — or landing several pellets from one shot — leeches more, with diminishing returns: 4 hits heal twice as much as one, 9 hits three times. Ranged attacks leech half.
Light radius decides how far ahead you see monsters — and how far ahead they are still hidden. Some of the strongest talents and affixes pay for their power by taking it away.
